#15. Voorhout Violet

The Lange and Korte Voorhout with their beautiful lime trees are called that because this used to be an offshoot of the Hague forest, also known as the fore-forest or Voorhout. In the 14^th century, the Voorhout was full of houses standing at odd angles and was not as beautiful as it is now. Only a century later did it take on its current form and small gardens appear. The beautiful tree-lined avenue is thanks to Emperor Charles V, who saw how the village of Die Haghe was becoming increasingly crowded and decided to merge the gardens into the broad avenue.

Violet is the color that gives artists, mystics, and spiritually developed people their inspiration. It is the color of trust, intuition, and mysticism.
